This costume is the kind that was used by noble women in Finland during the iron-age.
The costume consists of a plain dress of white linen under a plain white dress of wool, over both white dresses comes a peplos-dress fastened with round bronze buckles over the shoulders. Between the buckles is two chains of brass and a leather strap with glass beads. Around the waist there is a tablet-woven belt with forged scissors. A simple scarf covers the head. The costume has a pair of leather shoes as well.
I have sewn all three dresses and the scarf by hand out of bought fabrics. The shoes I have sewn by hand out of bought leather. The chains i made out of brass wire. The bronze buckles, the scissors, the tablet woven belt and the glass beads was made by other craftsmen. Photo was taken by me.
